Forest Centre & Millennium Country Park

Discover the Forest and all it has to offer.

The Forest of Marston Vale covers 61 square miles between Bedford and Milton Keynes. The Charity creating the Forest has planted 2.75 million trees and shrubs over the last 25-years, transforming the landscape, from landfill and industrial pits supplying Stewartby Brickworks, to lush and diverse countryside. The Millennium Country Park and Forest Centre is our hub, spanning 225 hectares of woodlands, grasslands, meadows, and wetlands. The perfect destination for ramblers, dog walkers, horse riders, nature lovers, and wildlife inspirers.

From turtle doves to nightingales, some of our most spectacular wildlife can be seen throughout the Millennium Country Park. Nestled within the Park is our Wetlands Nature Reserve. In our reserve we have bird-feeding stations, bird viewing walls, a sand martin nesting wall and four sheltered bird hides, including the magnificent Tower Hide offering a panoramic 180° view of natural habitats. To inspire the next generation, we have a host of kids’ activities available from our Forest Centre reception, including our Explorer Packs and nature inspired activity sheets.

The Forest Centre is the perfect pitstop after exploring the beauty of the Millennium Country Park. Grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat, browse our quaint gift shop and relax amongst the Forest. Dogs are welcome in the Forest Centre Café, however, please do make sure you’re following the dog rules on your visit – you can find these over on our website.

As the hub of the Forest of Marston Vale, the Forest Centre also offers a variety of events including kids’ events, tribute nights and is the perfect setting for a special event.  We also have rooms available to hire, whether you’re planning a small team gathering or a conference, our versatile spaces provide a serene setting for collaboration and productivity.

By visiting the Forest Centre, you are directly supporting our mission to plant more trees and maintain our woodlands, and every contribution directly promotes a greener and more sustainable future. We can’t wait to welcome you!
