Volunteering

If you’re an individual looking to volunteer in the Greensand Country then we’d love to hear from you. There’s a few suggestions for volunteer roles below, but you may have lots of other skills we can use so do get in touch and have a chat about how you can help.

Practical Outdoor Volunteers

Many of our partners are looking for volunteers to help with scrub removal, path maintenance and other practical outdoor tasks. You’ll need a certain level of fitness and willingness to work outside in all weathers.

Guided Walk and Event Leaders

If you love talking to people about the Greensand Country then you can help lead guided walks and tours, during the year or as part of our Festival. Being friendly, approachable and enthusiastic is as important as having detailed knowledge and we can offer lots of training and information before you start.

Storytellers, Artists, Dancers, Mummers, Performers

Part of our Celebrating the Greensand Country project involves helping communities discover and tell their local stories both new and old. We’d love to hear from storytellers, artists and other creative people who might like to help us translate these stories into new and exciting performances.

Walk of The Week Writers

If you’re out and about in Greensand Country already then you could help by contributing to our ‘walk of the week’. You just need to tell us about a favourite local walk, ideally with simple walk directions and pictures. You can submit one single walk, or contribute regularly.
