We’d love to hear from your local group or organisation- parish council, youth groups, WI or local history society- to see how we can help you care for your bit of Greensand Country. We can help with funding, training and promotion for a whole range of different projects.
If you’d like to work with us then please contact us firstname.lastname@example.org and we can have a chat to see how we can help.
Funding and Grant Schemes
We have grant funding available for organisations and groups who would like to research their local history, run events, or restore pieces of heathland or grassland on village greens, churchyards or sports areas. Please see our grants and funding page for more detailed information.
If you’re thinking of starting a project in your local area then we can offer you lots of training in practical skills such as grassland management or restoring sandstone walls or project and budget management, promotion, or writing interpretation boards.
Hosting an Event, Talk or Exhibition
If you have access to a village hall, church, scout hut or marquee then we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking out for place where we can host talks and debates throughout the year (including giving talks on the Greensand Country to your group or organisation). We’re also looking for spaces where we can hold exhibitions of art or photography during Greensand Festival week in June. Opening your hall or space during the Festival should being in lots of visitors and be a potential event where you can raise funds for your group.
